Where on earth would one find a wedding planner for a destination wedding during a world pandemic with restrictions? Having been in the events industry myself, and being slightly OCD, never in a million years did I think I would give total Carte Blanche to any person let alone my wedding day.
But with Lee from MODE, I literally told her to do whatever she wanted (and this all happened over the phone) with her being in Pretoria and me in Cape Town. Everything was perfect! Every one of her recommendations were ON POINT. Her attention to detail and passion for what she does speaks volumes! Working with Lee-Ann was an absolute joy!

Where can I even start with Lee? I called her in January in a flat panic that my fiancé wanted to get married in May. She set to work immediately and found us three venues available on our date in our budget and did viewings with us. She expertly guided us on what would work in our budget and still get the look we wanted. She basically did everything for the wedding- I was the calmest bride ever! She coordinated with our MC and venue and sent us all timesheets. We even had a mini disaster where my make up artist got Covid two days before the wedding. By the time Lee called me to let me know, a replacement was already booked. If you want a beautifully, well run event I highly recommend Mode!

Mode Weddings & Events styled our Boho modelling photo shoot for my modelling academy ACE Models JHB North. From organizing the photographer to the venue, to the props and even the clothing, Lee was absolutely amazing and did everything with a smile on her face. It’s not often we can brag about service delivery in South Africa but I am privileged to inform you that we might be the first. From the calm demeanour in her voice to her eye for detail and her artistic flair, Lee simply hit the nail on the head every single time. At no point did we feel limited with choices, or out of our depth financially. She simply wouldn’t give up on planning our perfect wedding, and perfect it was. From the fairy lights, to the lollipop program fans, to the table settings and even little novelty tips like creating little hashtags for the amateur photographers in the crowd, just capped off a tremendous day. We can absolutely, without a doubt say that if it wasn’t for Lee, this day wouldn’t have been half as spectacular. What an absolute pleasure working with you Lee, South Africa has truly lost out on a gem, but Europe has truly gained the Queen of design and execution.

Lee and her Mode events team are incredible! My husband and I had originally planned to have our (large) wedding on 23 September 2020. Then COVID-19 and lockdown hit and all plans were postponed. When we entered lockdown 2 in August, we decided to go ahead and plan the wedding for 23 September (with some 6 weeks to go to the date). Nothing up and until that point had been planned. We were in a spin. Lee and I had worked together previously I knew that her energy and absolutely amazing ability to stay positive and to get things done was what I needed to firstly, have the wedding of our dreams and secondly, to calm my frantic nerves.
I called Lee and without hesitation she accepted and within moments of that call was already engaging with suppliers and we were exchanging ideas for venue, food, styling, dresses – you name it! Lee managed each and every single component of the wedding planning to managing the event on the day and closing out items in the days after. There is simply no way we would have had our wedding, that was absolutely exquisite and flawlessly executed on the day, without her.
We thought we’d be disappointed since we could only have about 40 people attend which was not quite the large wedding we planned. However, Lee encouraged us to pay attention to all those details we would have with a larger wedding which meant in the end we had a deeply personal, intimate ceremony and reception with all the bells and whistles. She is networked with the very best wedding suppliers and vendors, could source quotes for all and additional items at a moment’s notice taking so much stress and anxiety of planning, especially planning with so little time for an event that will mark the beginning of our life together.
The photos will speak for themselves. From an absolutely magical ceremony at the Four Seasons Westcliff, to an intimate reception at Marble Restaurant, Lee arranged everything and the event was pure elegant class that also brought both our personalities to the fore. No request was too much trouble, no small detail unchecked. I personally don’t know how Lee did it as I know she was working on multiple projects at the same time.
I recommend Lee as a wedding planner without reservation. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for Lee and her team for all they did to make my husband and I feel absolutely amazing on our journey to our big day and on the day itself. It was truly unforgettable.

It was such a pleasure having Lee-Ann as our stylist and on the day coordinator for our wedding 
She perfectly captured the look and feel we wanted for our wedding day from the 4 pictures I sent her and I never needed to stress about a thing on the day. She was almost more excited about our wedding than we were, which was great and you could just feel her love and passion for what she does. I would 100% recommend Mode to anyone who requires decor, planning or both for a wedding or an event.
